What is a Cowpuncher?
In those early days of cattle drives the cattle were not particularly eager to enter loading chutes or box cars, so the cowboys poked or punched the cattle with long poles to get them in to the cars. The term was first recorded in 1880 and soon became a synonym for all those who worked cattle.
Craft Coffee is all about making the best cup of coffee.
Our Craft Coffee is roasted in small batches at the time of the order to assure its quality and freshness.
It’s the artistry of our Master Roaster who has years of experience using high quality of beans and ingredients to highlight the flavors to create Cowpuncher Craft Coffee.
Why we use Spurs in our logo and in our tag line?
A spur is a metal tool designed to be worn in pairs on the heels of riding boots for the purpose to assist in giving the horse direction… keeping them moving ... thus we use “Spur The Day!” with Cowpuncher Coffee to keep us moving.
Why do Cowpunchers drink coffee?
Their daily herding of cattle also meant that they need a lot of energy. Cowpunchers preferred coffee because it gives them the energy to work all day and night. In addition, it was an easy and quick drink to prepare while traveling long distances. They like their coffee strong and dark.
The Cowpuncher Coffee is our Dark Roast Strong Coffee. It has the smokey campfire taste but with no bitterness.
